Our Business

Power Quality Surveys and Service Ltd is a small electrical engineering business. We specialise in power quality applications. Power factor correction and harmonic analysis are our specialities. We cover all areas of the UK and Ireland. And as we are a small and adaptable company, we can tailor our services. And because of that we are able to meet our customers specific requirements. Be it a large factory, data centre, commercial building or a small industrial unit, we can offer a service to meet your needs.

Steve Topham

Steve is a well known and trusted engineer within the power quality world. He has spent the past 15 years specialising in power quality projects. For many years Steve worked with a large multi-national engineering business. Steve has also worked for a few years with a local company in the North of England.

Steve also spent many years in building services and standby power system design.

Steve is experienced at carrying out surveys, and services in large industries such as steel, water, printing, farms and waste, as well as smaller commercial, retail, public and manufacturing premises.

Steve is qualified to HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He holds a valid Safety Passport issued by CCNSG, and a National Water Hygiene Registration. He is a Level 3 first aider, and is trained in Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, and working in Confined Spaces.

Clare Topham

Clare has a degree in Industrial Computer Science and has worked as a programmer, business analyst and project manager for 30 years. Mostly working in steel mills, scrap metal companies and food manufacturers.

She is responsible for the ‘back room’ operations such as the web page, marketing, administration and organisation.
